  13.       READIT is a general-purpose program for reading, browsing or
  14.       searching ascii text files, program documentation, program
  15.       manuals, letters, etc. on your computer's screen.
  16.  
  17.       READIT will allow you to read, browse or search for text in
  18.       any length text file. You are not limited to just your memory
  19.       (RAM) size. I have used it to browse and search through over
  20.       3 million (3,276,225) bytes (46,432 lines) of text in one file.

  22.       You no longer have to load your word processor just to take a
  23.       look at the letter you have stored on disk in ascii format.
  24.       Just run READIT.
  25.  
  26.       You no longer need to use the "more" filter from DOS.
  27.       Just run READIT.
  28.  
  29.       READIT displays 24 lines of text on the screen at a time.
  30.       Keys for scrolling and paging are displayed on line 25 of
  31.       the screen.

  33.       You may scroll the screen one line or one screen full at
  34.       a time, move to the last line of your file, move to the
  35.       first line of your file, move to any line in your file or
  36.       search for any text within your file.

  38.    Computer requirements:

  40.       READIT will run on almost any PC or close compatible with a
  41.       minimum of 512Kb of memory and one floppy drive using MS_Dos
  42.       or PC_DOS 2.1 or better.

  44.       READIT will operate with Monochrome, CGA, EGA & VGA displays.

  48.    Notice: I Have decided to include READIT with all of the software
  49.          packages developed Emerald Coast Software and to allow
  50.          registered users of these main packages to also become
  51.          registered users of READIT (FREE) at the time they register
  52.          the main package.

  54.          Since I am including READIT free with all releases (new and
  55.          updates) of our software packages, I feel that I owe it to all
  56.          previously registered users of our software packages to become
  57.          registerd users of READIT free of charge also if they so choose.

  60.    Remember:
  61.          If you are a registered user of any Emerald Coast Software
  62.          package, you may become a registered user of READIT (free
  63.          of charge) by writing or calling us and giving us your name
  64.          and the registration number of your software package. We
  65.          will then give you a License Authorization Code that will
  66.          remove all notices of "Un-Licensed" from your screen and
  67.          your copy will show on the screen that you are a licensed
  68.          user of READIT.

  70.          If you do not have a copy of READIT, you may download it from
  71.          many of the BBS's across the USA including our own Emerald
  72.          Coast Software Support BBS, or, a copy on a 360Kb formatted
  73.          5 1/4 inch disk may be ordered from us for a charge of $3.50
  74.          to cover the cost of the media, shipping and handling. Florida
  75.          residents must add $.23 for Sales Tax for a total of $3.73.

  78.    a registered user of any other software package developed by Emerald
